Read the chip and family

Apple lists MacBook Air M1, 2020 and MacBook Air Retina 13 inch, 2020 as separate models. Their identifiers are MacBookAir10,1 and MacBookAir9,1 respectively. A purchase note saying only 2020 Air omits a relevant distinction. The site does not infer one from the year alone or assume a cover selector uses the same grouping as another seller.

Use the selected variant literally

The selected GhostCover record is titled MacBook Air 13 inch M1, 2020/US Keyboard Layout/Clear. The lookup documents it for MacBookAir10,1 with US layout. It does not extend that selected variant to MacBookAir9,1 merely because both Apple models were introduced in 2020. Any broader actual seller claim would need an exact current source relationship.

Do not import an older marketplace title

An old listing or another retailer may combine Intel and M1 model numbers under a similar cover name. That does not rewrite the selected current manufacturer-store variant. This guide keeps the current variant ID and SKU with its actual title. Historical third-party descriptions are not used to silently expand its compatibility scope.

Keep the layout check

After identifying the model family, the physical regional layout still needs confirmation. The tool’s US selection is not inferred from the language of the operating system. If the physical layout is ISO, another format or unknown, the chosen US record remains unverified for that combination. No personal device photograph is collected.

Watch neighboring models

A 2018–2019 Retina Air, a 2010–2017 Air and an M2 Air appear as other choices in the current GhostCover family. Their existence does not make them substitutes for the M1 variant. A shared price, brand or clear color cannot establish identical molding. Retain the exact selected option through checkout and receipt.

Keep the use instruction

A documented M1 family reference is not a guarantee about key feel, backlight, liquid protection or closing clearance. Apple advises removal before closing the display. The site has not fitted the product to an actual 2020 Air or measured wear. Independent compatibility and content review remain pending beyond the narrow source match.

A purchase date is not an introduction year

A notebook bought in 2021 can be an M1, 2020 model;the year a buyer remembers paying for it is not necessarily the year in Apple’s family name. Conversely, a 2020 purchase note can refer to different Air families. Use the actual model identifier to resolve that ambiguity instead of guessing from the receipt year. The selected current GhostCover M1 variant is kept narrow even if another historical listing grouped Intel and M1 machines. That conservative source mapping does not claim other combinations are physically impossible. It simply identifies which exact relationship has been reviewed here and leaves the others unknown.

This shopping reference does not replace the exact product label or qualified individual advice. Exact current compatibility and independent content/commerce review remain pending.
