Name the physical layout

US/ANSI and ISO refer to physical keyboard arrangements, while US English can describe the printed language. A cover can carry English legends without its exact mold being established for every regional keyboard. The selected GhostCover variants explicitly say US Keyboard Layout, and the Moshi offer says US Layout. These statements are kept with the actual selected product.

Keep the source distinction

KB Covers’FAQ explains that a US cover is not a perfect ISO fit and separately discusses dual-layout covers. That supports checking the actual mold rather than assuming all products are interchangeable. A general dual-layout discussion is not proof that every selected variant uses that design. The exact code and current product evidence still matter.

Do not trust a wildcard alone

During research, a KB Covers option had a blank physical-style attribute in its variation data while the page offered US/ANSI and ISO choices. Its related image filename also contained ISO wording. That source state was not treated as a verified US-only mold. The offer was excluded from the final three-price comparison rather than forced into a confident compatibility result.

Inspect the actual keyboard privately

A buyer can compare the actual key arrangement with current maker guidance without sending a photograph to this site. The lookup requests only a layout choice and offers an unknown state. It does not analyze images, identify a country from a language preference or assume an operating-system setting changes the physical key shapes.

Keep a non-match claim narrow

For an ISO selection, the chosen US records do not establish a match. The tool says the requested combination is unverified in these records. It does not claim a physical fitting experiment proved failure. A properly documented dual-layout product could be evaluated later as a separate record with its own exact current price and model scope.

Before paying

Confirm model family and physical layout together, then verify the selected color and SKU. Do not let a familiar English-language title settle the mold question. The Apple remove-before-closing instruction remains independent of layout. A correct regional fit does not create a damage or closed-display clearance guarantee.

Language settings cannot reshape keys

Changing an operating-system input language changes how keystrokes are interpreted;it does not physically reshape the return key or the molded wells of a cover. A US English label can therefore be insufficient for the physical-fit question. Keep the actual regional arrangement separate from printed legends and software settings. The lookup’s layout dropdown does not infer one from the user’s language or country. An explicitly supported dual-layout cover could be a different valid product, but it needs its own selected current record. The excluded wildcard option illustrates why a conveniently selectable combination is not always complete evidence of the exact mold.
