Choose a target explicitly
The tool accepts a user-chosen number of covers and the usable matching count already held. It does not recommend a replacement interval or infer a reserve from the number of laptops. A blank target remains unresolved. The calculation starts only after the buyer supplies the actual quantity assumption.
Count matching stock
A held cover should match the actual intended model, physical layout and selected use requirement before being counted as usable. The website cannot inspect those conditions. It does not treat an ISO sheet, a cover for another generation or a damaged accessory as an interchangeable unit simply because it exists in a drawer.
Use a simple example
For a chosen target of five individual covers with two usable matching units already held, three additional units are wanted. The selected records are individual offers, so the tool outputs three whole selling units. It does not invent a multi-pack discount or estimate that a cover lasts a particular number of months.
Keep zero meaningful
If held stock already meets the chosen target, the purchase output is zero and any surplus is shown. That is an arithmetic boundary, not a recommendation against a reserve. Negative, fractional, blank or out-of-range counts are not silently rounded into an order. Switching the selected product clears the old target and stock assumptions.
Do not infer service life
The warranty period does not establish a replacement schedule. A manufacturing-defect term and normal usage wear are different concepts. This site has not measured stretching, discoloration, key feel or wear over time. It does not convert a warranty length into cost per month or a predicted annual cover requirement.
Before ordering the result
Verify every intended model/layout and the current actual selected offer. A whole-unit count does not reserve inventory or promise delivery. The tool requests no names, device serials or business asset lists and transmits no order. Independent compatibility and commerce review remain pending beyond the limited source records.
One matching unit can still be unusable
A cover’s correct model and layout do not establish its actual condition. The buyer must decide whether held stock is usable before entering it. The tool does not inspect stretching, damage, cleanliness or a missing label, and it does not use a photograph to estimate a remaining useful life. If that count is unknown, leave it blank rather than calling a guessed number measured inventory. A target of five and held count of two supports three additional individual units only under those explicit assumptions. The arithmetic does not certify the existing accessories or recommend how many spares a household should keep.
