Identify the exact part
The selected B&H offer is Moshi ClearGuard for MacBook Air 11 inch, manufacturer part 99MO021907, B&H reference MOCG11MBA. Its page states US Layout and 24.95 USD. It is marked Special Order with expected availability 2–4 weeks, not ordinary immediate stock. This guide does not present that estimate as a guaranteed arrival date.
Use the matching manufacturer sheet
Moshi’s ClearGuard 11 PDF names the same 99MO021907 part and describes engineering-grade thermoplastic urethane with 0.1 mm thickness. A different ClearGuard sheet for another MacBook is not used as a substitute. The manufacturer sheet’s printed MSRP is a reference price, while the selected B&H 24.95 USD is the actual dated public offer observation.
Keep the model gap explicit
The retailer describes an 11 inch pre-2016 family, but the reviewed manufacturer sheet does not provide a complete exact model-identifier list. Apple’s page identifies individual 11 inch generations separately. This site therefore leaves exact identifier compatibility unresolved for this selected legacy offer rather than inferring a match from 11 inch alone.
Do not merge regional versions
Other Moshi parts can name Japanese or other layouts. They do not establish US compatibility for 99MO021907 unless the actual selected source does so. The selected retailer’s US Layout statement is retained, but it is not used to claim an ISO fit. The tool returns a family-only reference with an unresolved exact model state.
Keep warranty and protection claims scoped
B&H lists a limited one-year manufacturer warranty and washable/reusable features. These do not establish coverage for liquid damage to a laptop, screen marks or every instance of wear. No cleaning, durability or fit experiment was performed for this site. The package weight on the retailer page is not the protector’s measured net material weight.
Before a legacy purchase
Confirm the actual current part, layout, model support, special-order terms and shipping estimate with the seller. The Apple remove-before-closing instruction remains visible. This offer is included as a real, dated legacy purchase record with clear limitations, not as an endorsed drop-in replacement for a modern Air or a tested universal keyboard cover.
Special order changes the next action
The Moshi offer’s real usefulness is as a specific legacy part that can be discussed with the seller. Its 24.95 USD price does not imply immediate stock. A buyer with a deadline should ask about the actual selected part, expected supply and applicable special-order terms before relying on a delivery estimate. The matching manufacturer sheet establishes the part and material, but not a complete current model-identifier list. Keep that gap visible instead of converting the retailer’s pre-2016 family description into a universal fit claim for every 11 inch machine. The comparison does not claim that a legacy option is a modern replacement.
